In Service Container
Containers and Frames Inspection - Avoid Fines and Shipping Delays
If your container is already in use, regular inspections are not optional—they are mandatory. Without them, you risk:
-
🚫 Delays at ports
-
🚫 Costly fines or rejected shipments
-
🚫 Safety hazards and potential accidents
At HTT, we make sure your containers meet every requirement—onshore, offshore, and internationally.
Three Types of In-Service Inspections :
1. CSC Inspections (Convention for Safe Containers)
-
Required for international transport
-
Valid for 5 years from manufacture, then:
-
First re-inspection within 5 years
-
Every 30 months thereafter
-
-
Ensures container is safe and defect-free
💡 We perform CSC inspections directly at your location for full compliance.
2. Offshore Container Inspections (NEN-EN-ISO 10855-3:2018)
-
Annual visual inspections of markings, welds, lifting eyes, doors, and floors
-
NDT methods (Magnetic, Eddy Current, Penetrant) on lifting eyes and welds
-
Load tests when repairs or modifications are made
3. Onshore Container Inspections
-
For containers and frames used on land
-
Ensures compliance with local safety standards
⚠️ Important: Don’t just look at the destination—consider the entire transport route.
For example, an offshore container shipped from Amsterdam to Barcelona may require both CSC and offshore inspections.
